Hi, I’m Barbara I pride myself in having a genuine wish to help you to create a meaningful ceremony. I like to put people at ease and help create a ceremony that suits your wishes and make it memorable for you, your family and friends.
I have been working in the Glasgow, Ayrshire, Loch Lomond areas for over 10 years as a Wedding, Funeral and Baby Naming Celebrant supporting couples and families at some of the most important milestones in life. I love what I do and I believe it shows.
Many people ask me to travel throughout Scotland and further afield to hold their ceremony and I am always willing to do so if I have availability in my diary.
I offer ceremonies in all areas of Scotland. I am based in Ayrshire and happily travel.
Professional training and experience
I’ve been a professional speaker for over 35 years in a variety of different roles from being a Tour Guide, Whisky Ambassador to supporting people and promoting psychological care and wellbeing. I believe that passion and care are some of the key elements that I can add to your ceremony. When we add your love as the most important ingredient, this enables me to conduct the best service for you.
My training as a Celebrant began with the Fellowship of Professional Celebrants and I have certificates in Funeral Celebrancy and Marriage and Family Celebrancy. I am a fellow of the Professional Celebrants Association.
I also trained to hold Interfaith Ceremonies. Interfaith Celebrants and Ministers train for 2 years to offer services to people of all faiths and none. I am registered with my training organisation as an Interfaith Minister and have authorisation to hold legal ceremonies in Scotland, I am fully insured and participate in regular training.

What kind of Celebrant to choose? Why choose Interfaith?
Interfaith Celebrant
As a celebrant, I perform wedding ceremonies, commitment ceremonies and vow renewals throughout the UK and abroad on occasion.
If you are looking to be legally married in Scotland, my affiliation with the One Spirit Interfaith Foundation allows me to hold the legal part of non-religious and religious ceremonies.
I am happy to discuss with you how the legal part of the ceremony can be included in the service I offer. Scotland is a wonderful country to be married in and guidelines for the legal arrangements can be easily found at this website -

Alternative Ceremonies
Perhaps you would like to keep your wedding ceremony separate from the legal ceremony and if so, that is absolutely fine.
I would be happy to discuss how that might work for you and give you all of the options open to you.

What to expect?
No matter what you need, be it a Wedding Celebrant, Baby Naming Celebrant or Funeral Celebrant, the ceremonies should be special, they mark occasions when we gather friends, relatives and colleagues to show our love, respect and celebrate our life journey.
Sometimes we attend a baby naming, a wedding or a funeral and we don't recognise it as being personal to the people involved. Why settle for a ceremony that doesn't suit you when you have a choice to create a personal ceremony which is meaningful and reflects the true character of the individuals.
From the minute you contact me, I will be there to guide you through everything you need to know to make your ceremony special. I will arrange a meeting with you or if you are calling from a distance or abroad, I will happily stay in contact by telephone, email or Skype.
I will support, guide and help create a ceremony unique to you. I will gather your information on thy type of ceremony you are looking for, make recommendations if you wish and once I have sufficient information from you to create your unique service, I will complete the outline of service along with your personal content and send this to you for approval and any additions or amendments you would like.
Only when you are completely happy that the ceremony outline and the content meets your wishes will we sign off and agree that we are ready for the event.New Paragraph

Funeral to arrange?
The bereavement of a family member or close friend can be overwhelming in many ways and often confusing. You have perhaps already chosen a Funeral Director to handle the legal and practical aspects and you are now looking for a Funeral Celebrant to conduct the ceremony and help guide you through this part of the service.
My aim is to take the stress out of creating a ceremony fit for your loved one, ensuring that you feel supported and the service is presented in a style and manner reflecting the spirit of the person, their life and special qualities.

Baby Naming and Blessings?
Celebrating the arrival of a new baby in the family is a wonderful occasion. It's an opportunity to share your joy by introducing the baby to your family and friends in a memorable event for everyone to remember.
Choosing an Interfaith Celebrant to conduct your ceremony will offer you the freedom to enjoy a special service wherever and whenever it suits you. The ceremony length will depend on your choices. The naming ceremony includes some key elements but remember it is your choice and I will work with you to create what is personal and meaningful to you.
